Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

After a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Complete Collection

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Viewpoint Enhancement
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Design Module
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Religious Structure Maps
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Creation Guide
  • Annual Volumes 1-17
  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
